Definiitely sand proof

This is a non-typical Beach blanket as the material is similar to a tent bottom but this solidifies that it is made to keep you off the sand and is easy to clean, in addition, good for picnics and the like. The package is small and the bag is attached to the blanket, definitely a nice compliment to any day out on the beach or otherwise. The material is also very strong and light.

This blanket is really portable and light. It seems to be made of some kind of rip-stop nylon, like a windbreaker-type jacket. Dry sand would shake off easily and I think damp sand would too. I haven't tested the water resistance yet, but it seems like the kind of material that would be fairly stain/water resistant. It comes with a carrying pouch and carabiner, so it's easy to carry around and hang off things. The pouch is actually attached to the blanket so you won't lose it. There's a zippered pouch on one edge of the blanket to keep small items organized; might be good for keys, jewelry, etc. It also comes with short tent-style pegs to anchor the corners, which would be good for keeping the blanket flat since the material is so light weight.
